Social Justice Project: Create a New Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Flavor

This is a fun and creative social justice project for your students to engage in. It can be used in a variety of grades/subjects and serves the purpose of raising awareness for social justice causes. Students will view examples of Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavors, such as "EmpowerMINT," "Save our Swirled," and "Imagine Whirled Peace". They then create their own ice cream flavor and design a blank ice cream carton focusing on a social cause of their choice.

This could be a great activity to use during Black History Month and Women's History Month!
