Social Inference and Perspective Taking: Real Picture Scenarios

This Social Inference and Perspective Taking: Real Picture Scenarios deck may be used to target social inferencing and perspective taking using real-picture scenarios.

Question prompts include:

- What might the person be feeling?

- Why might the person feel that way?

It has 2 options:

(1) With choices (50 task cards) - The child will be asked to infer the emotion that the person might be feeling. In the following card, he/she will determine the reason for the emotion felt by the person then encircle the clues in the picture.

(2) Without choices (25 task cards) - The child will be asked to type his/her responses in the box. He/she will be asked to infer the emotion that the person might be feeling, determine the reason for the emotion felt by the person, and encircle the clues in the picture.

The following emotions are included:

-happy (5 task cards)

-sad (4 task cards)

-angry (4 task cards)

-worried (4 task cards)

-scared (4 task cards)

-embarrassed (4 task cards)
