Description
This Young Wonders Project was developed to extend a reader's workshop unit of the same name. The reader's workshop unit had students read novels about young wonders (i.e. Malala, The Red Pencil, Paying it Forward). This project encourages students to think about how they can become a young wonder in the world by becoming social entrepreneurs. This bundle of documents has students think of social issues and problems in their own community, and how they can solve those problems. Students work through the design process to identify problems, ask questions, develop solutions, test solutions, and present their final product - which could be a movement, invention or service project. Rubrics and presentations for this project are available as separate purchases.
