Description
Identifying the perspectives, feelings and emotions of others is an important social emotional skill to practice. With this activity (available in digital learning format), students will read short, true stories about infamous events - scams such as selling the Eiffel Tower and Brooklyn Bridge and stories about game show contestants cheating on live TV. They are asked the identify the feelings, motivations and consequences of those involved. Then, they take the perspective of 2 individuals involved and finally share their own perspective of the events.
This is available in two formats- both a secure PDF and as google slide compatible - great for distance learning. Instructions are included for how to get this resource into your own google drive to easily share and work with students on this skill!
There are 6 readings and each include:
- 1 page text, written at the 5th grade level
- 1 page of comprehension questions, with a focus on social emotional questions
- 1 page asking to take the perspective of 2 involved parties
- 1 page for students to share their own perspective on the events.
Both formats are the same activities, just the format has changed.
Thank you & enjoy!
