    Each social emotional learning unit contains 4 different lessons that you can implement into your classroom to teach about the specific character trait during your morning meeting or group discussion time. This is perfect for the first week of school to teach your students how to interact with one another and the classroom!

    What is included:

    You will have 4 new lessons that you can teach in any order you prefer to build classroom community and teach social emotional skills all centered around each skill.

    Lesson 1: Self-Control Read Aloud

    Read the book with your students to define and describe what the character trait is.

    Lesson 2: Personal Reflection

    Make a graphic organizer with your students and they can either draw or write reflecting on the character trait.

    Lesson 3: Flip Book

    There are two different flip books to choose from; one is fill in the blank and the other asks the students to trace or draw. Both flip books are asking the same types of questions defining and giving examples of how to model the character trait.

    Lesson 4: Craft and Bulletin Board

    These students can make a craft about the character trait! A bulletin board phrase is also included to hang as a bulletin board with the craft.
