Smartboard Seasonal Counting Jars

All the work is done for you. 18 different designs, learning objectives spelled out and step by step instructions included. All you have to do is turn on the smartboard to let the fun, learning and counting begin!

This fun and engaging colorful themed activity combines:
*oral counting from 1-20
*number recognition
*concept of before/after
*writing Conventions: number, number word, tallies, drawing objects to represent number

My kids *LOVE* playing counting jar each morning as part of our calendar routine. In addition to whole group instruction/practice, my kids use the counting jar as part of their independent/small group math work (I combine a variety of my SMART math lessons to create an ever changing set of activities for them to learn with.) I will be posting more of my SMART math lessons soon!

This set is great because you can keep it on hand for the whole year and change out the objects with each new month/season/holiday to keep the counting concept fresh and fun!
