Description

Students will love this fun practice activity for calculating slope between 2 points. Answering correctly will help them escape a haunted house! Includes Google Slides and PowerPoint versions.

They are given 14 problems to solve, choosing from 3 possible answers for each one. If they solve correctly, they will choose the correct door and avoid the scary giant spiders! If they make a mistake, a spider appears, and they are prompted to try again.

For each problem, students are given two ordered pairs and must find the slope. Solutions include whole numbers, integers, decimals, fractions, 0, and undefined slope. The difficulty increases as they work through the haunted house!

This is self-checking practice. Students will not turn in any work, and you will not need to grade anything. They will know as they work if they are answering correctly. It works great during distance learning and if students have their own devices. It could also be used as a whole class activity when displayed on the board and used with student white boards.

This resource is editable, so you can customize it to fit your students. All text can be changed. (Be sure if you change the problems, you keep the correct answer on the correct door so the haunted house still works for students!)
