What educators are saying

I utilized this resource to compliment my unit. Some students completed the worksheet(s) as additional practice. Others worked collaboratively as a paired learning activity. Overall, the students responded very positively. I will definitely reuse this product.

Description

Students will:
Simplify square roots with integer radicands
Multiply and simplify square roots
Simplify square roots with variable radicands

After introducing simplifying radicals, pair students and assess their understanding by having them complete the activity. Students will each solve a different problem and then compare answers. If their answers match, they can move on. If they don’t, they must do some error analysis to find and correct the mistake. They will get some great practice critiquing the reasoning of their peers and justifying their answers.
