Description

This 18- question (36 part), auto-grading, digital assignment uses Google Forms to provide students with practice simplifying, multiplying, and dividing rational expressions. Students will select the simplified version of each expression, then choose the excluded values from a list.

This assignment is now included in my Algebra 2 Digital Bundle for Google Forms!

Questions on this form are "multiple-choice" and "select all that apply" style questions.

I have also provided a PDF that includes all of the questions on the Google Form so that students can work out each problem on paper before completing the digital assignment.

I have the form set to collect email addresses, first and last names, and class period- the form is editable so if your students do not have email addresses you can easily turn that feature off.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Interpret parts of an expression, such as terms, factors, and coefficients.
Interpret complicated expressions by viewing one or more of their parts as a single entity. For example, interpret 𝘗(1 + 𝘳)ⁿ as the product of 𝘗 and a factor not depending on 𝘗.
Use the structure of an expression to identify ways to rewrite it. For example, see 𝘹⁴ – 𝘺⁴ as (𝘹²)² – (𝘺²)², thus recognizing it as a difference of squares that can be factored as (𝘹² – 𝘺²)(𝘹² + 𝘺²).
