Description

Help your kids learn while staying busy and engaged with this 20 question Silk Road Web Quest! The students will use three different websites (please see below) in order to answer the questions. Once they have completed the Web Quest they will design their own bumper sticker (that could have been used along the Silk Road). Included with this product are a key, a Notes to the Teacher page, an assignment sheet for the bumper sticker,a rubric for the bumper sticker, and several student examples of the bumper sticker!

A computer and internet connection are necessary for this assignment. One of the websites does require Java Script and Flash. Websites now updated with QR Codes!

The following Ohio Common Core Social Studies Standards are accomplished through this assignment:

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RH.6-8.2 Determine the central ideas or information of a primary or secondary source; provide an accurate summary of the source distinct from prior knowledge or opinions
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RH.6-8.10 By the end of grade 8, read and comprehend history/social studies texts in the grades 6–8 text complexity band independently and proficiently.
