Signs and Seasons Schedule

This is a 30-week schedule for covering the book Signs and Seasons by Jay Ryan. The schedule is meant to be used over a traditional Aug-May school year. It assigns book work twice a week, and field activities to be done any night that week that the sky is clear.

If you like to coordinate science and history, this course works well when studying Ancient times (traditionally 5th grade or 9th grade). If you do not follow the 4-year cycle and want to coordinate a non-traditional history course with this science course, an excellent choice is Calendar Quest, published by Brimwood Press. It is an 8-week course (although it is much easier to spread it out over 30 weeks - it's very intense!) which covers all of world history by studying the calendar.
