Each time you teach a sight, add the caterpillar piece and watch it grow!
Activity #1 Spin a Sight Word:
Write 5 sight words on the spinner. Use a paperclip and pencil to make a spinner. Spin and write the words on the caterpillar.
Activity #2 Roll and Read a Sight Word:
Roll a die and read that number of sight words. If you red the word correctly, dot a circle for each sight word. How many sight words can you read? Perfect for reviewing sight words.
Activity #3 Sight Word Texting Codes:
Write your sight words on the line. Use the numbers on the cell phone to "text" your sight word code.
Activity #4 Spin and Write (graph) a Sight Word:(Read it, Stamp it, Write it)
Write 5 sight words in the spinner. Spin and record your sight words. Which sight word will place 1st and 2nd? Race to the top to see who wins.
Activity #5 Rainbow Write
Write the letters of each word in rainbow colors.
Activity #6 Sight Word Writing (Write with a Pencil, Pen and Marker)
Use the words from the sight word caterpillar to write your words with a pencil, pen and marker.
Activity #7 Roll and Write a Sight Word
Write the words from the word family caterpillar next to the dice. Roll a die and write the word in the column.
Activity #8 Make a Sight Word Code:
Use the Sight Word Code List to make a secret code for your sight words. Have a friend decode the sight words.
Activity #9 Sight Word Values
Use the letter tiles to add up the value of your sight words.
