Is there a funnier, more engaging book than Sideways Stories from Wayside School by Louis Sachar? Well, here’s a project that continues the fun! Students will create BIG GALOOTS of all their favorite characters. 32 characters are included, one for each of the 30 chapters (including the three Erics). After students color and assemble their BIG GALOOT, they can write about the character or the book on the lined backside. The finished projects make a great display lined up in the hallway or hanging from a bulletin board. Clear directions and photographs of each step make them extra-easy to assemble.
