Description
Engage your students with this fun, real world application shopping trip math center! This is a differentiated activity in which you can give students a budget of $10, $15, $20, or $25. They can also go shopping for items that have money values to the nearest dollar or nearest $.25, or $.50. I also added a blank set of items so you can fill in your own money values! Students will then pick out their store items and record them on the recording sheet (their receipt). Students will have to make decisions within their budget to purchase fruit, a stuffed animal, a fidget spinner, hat, pencil, etc. They can't go over budget! It would be even more fun to use paper bags, fake money, or a cash register with this activity to make it come to life!
