Description

Morphology is the study of words, their formation, and their relationship to other words with the same word parts. Morphology is a component of vocabulary instruction as it teaches root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Science of Reading stresses morphology instruction in order to expand students' vocabulary and boost their comprehension.

A Morphology Wall is similar to a word wall but much more appropriate for upper-grade scholars. As you cover Greek roots, Latin roots, prefixes, and suffixes you will add them to your wall as a resource for students. Having a morphology wall in your classroom will be a phonics and vocabulary instruction game changer!

This resource includes:

  • shiplap headers: prefix, suffix, Latin root, greek root, roots, and a blank card
  • letters to form: MORPHOLOGY WALL or MORPHOLOGY STUDY
