Shapes Kindergarten Emergent Reader- 2-d shapes and color words

This emergent reader little book is a great way to practice recognizing shapes (2-d shapes) and reading color words.

The text of this book follows a predictable pattern: Red circle, red circle, what do you see?
I see a blue square looking at me.

This story features the following shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, hexagon, star, and heart. (You can easily remove any pages if that particular shape is not covered in your curriculum.)

It also features the following color words: red, yellow, blue, orange, green, purple, and pink. The following sight words are used: what, do, you, see, I, a, an, looking, at and me.

This book includes the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!!
