This is my first time teaching Textiles, and this was exactly what I needed. I always forget that students don't always have the skill coming into the class (especially with hands-on things like sewing!) so this was great to have on hand.
Description
"Sewing Basics" is a 10 lesson self-directed sewing class for kids. (Recommended for ages 8+.) This course comes with written instructions and video tutorials for all the projects. Students will learn the basics of threading the sewing machine, sewing safety, how to sew buttons, using patterns, and SO much more! They will be thrilled as they complete their first projects! Projects include felt bookmark, mini supply bag, and a darling fox pillow.
This is a digital pdf download that comes with the 24 page workbook, plus additional worksheets and sewing patterns. The workbook is great for homeschool elective curriculum. It is also great for after school learning or hobby work. These lessons can be done back to back or spread over time.
