What educators are saying

My students were so excited with this resource. They even questioned if the movie was based on an actual killer.
All I can say is WOW! My students were soooo into this assignment about serial killers! Tied in perfectly with my crime unit and our reading of the book. Asylum by Madeline Roux.

Serial Killer Profile : Jason Voorhees a.k.a. The Camp Crystal Lake Killer

IMPORTANT : THIS ARTICLE IS NOT REAL! I have used this article at Halloween, Friday the 13th, April Fool's Day, or at the end of the year when it is time to have a bit of fun with my forensic/psychology class. While some are fooled, all enjoy the "is it real?" confusion for a time and it can lead to fun discussions especially in psychology. It's a great way to discuss the role of entertainment and how the actions of true life criminals can be popularized by mass media.

This assignment is perfect for class work and discussion, homework, or extra credit.

The assignment is a 2-page article that highlights the fictional case of The Camp Crystal Lake Killer: Jason Voorhees and the movies that were created after his initial murder spree.

There is a 2-page question sheet to accompany the article. Suggestions for class discussion / highlighting questions are also provided. ANSWER KEY IS PROVIDED.

DOC & PDF VERSIONS! The article and questions are provided as MS-Word documents (DOC) so you can modify as needed to fit the needs of your students. It has also been provided as a PDF for ease of use on any form of technology.

Thank you for your purchase and for taking the time to leave me positive feedback.
