Sequences - Complete Unit of Work

In this unit, students will learn about how to continue, describe and generate sequences. They will start by learning about different types of sequences, including how to describe arithmetic sequences using the term-to-term rule. Students will then look at how to generate sequences from both the term-to-term rule and the position-to-term rule, before looking at how to express the nth term of a sequence. They will go on to look at the particular cases of quadratic sequences and geometric sequences, before looking at how sequences can be used to solve problems in real-life and mathematical contexts.
