Senior Girl Scout Women's Health Activity Booklet

This activity booklet was designed to fulfill the requirements for the Senior Women Health badge or can be used by frontier girl leaders to earn similar badges. Great for teachers and home schooled kids as well.

Using the booklets activities put together a personal magazine, called the Real Girl. In the personal magazine learn more about ways to help women stay healthy, play a game to learn about health fads. Create a cover showing a “Real Girl” rather than a digitally edited version. Cover facts and ways to prevent breast cancer, and learn how to stay emotionally healthy.

Activities Include:

• How to help women stay healthy – Learn more about how to reduce stress, change eating habits, and stay active with a number of activities including Yoga, a healthy snack recipe, and a game of fitness tic tac toe.
• Health Fads Through History – Learn more about exercise and diet fads throughout American history, by playing a game matching fads through decades. Also try out a few of the exercise fads from game.
• Staying Emotionally healthy is important – Activities to understand your own personality, play a game to show your positive attributes, and in the end learn how to stay healthy emotionally so it wont effect you physically.
• Explore and Tell the World About Breast Cancer – Learn more about Juliette Gordon Low who died of breast cancer, dig deeper into preventive measures, and put together a mammogram pledge for other important woman in their life to take.
