Self-Graded Participation Form

Students grade their own level of participation on this self-graded google form. Send the form to students like a ¨quiz¨ that you can post on your website, email to students or post directly on google classroom or other Learning Management System (LMS) platforms. This form give students specific detail about what classroom participation looks like, so it also gives them a roadmap of what they should be doing.

In my own experience, most students assess themselves accurately - they know their own level of engagement and interaction in class, so make grading for yourself quick and easy! As you scan the responses and disagree with a student´s assessment of his/her/their own participation, you can always change a grade. I have let students self-assess their participation for years, using a paper rubric handout, but this year I created this google form to make grading much faster and easier.
