Atomic Model Interviews - reporters interview Dalton, Thomson, Rutherford, Bohr and Chadwick. (makes a great jigsaw activity)

Snow White Light – Snow White Light and the Roy G. Biv Clan vs. the evil queen who plans to throw the world into darkness. Covers refraction, reflection, mirrors, prisms and includes 13 online resources for games, interactives, a 19 slide, graphics enhanced Power Point to introduce the reading, review and provide writing prompts and language arts connected activities.

Atomic Adoption Agency – covalent bonding. Oxy Oxygen (a talkative element) asks the Social Worker to help her adopt twins to complete her family and valance shell.

Ironic Ionic Bail Bond Company – Sodium gets arrested for causing high blood pressure and needs to be bonded out. Covers ionic bonding, cations, anions, orbitals and compounds.

The Legend of Sodium Chloride is a 25-35 minute play that can be done as a Reader’s Theater or full production. King Hydrogen and Queen Oxygen insist their son Sodium choose an element to bond with to form a stable compound. His heart is set on Queen Chlorine but conniving Goldy (Digger) has other plans for the Prince. Will the Knights of the Periodic Table fulfill their quest in time to save the prince from a fate worse than death?

This interdisciplinary work includes 3 rap/songs and can be used to teach physical science concepts about the periodic table, elements, bonding and why water is a valuable and unique natural resource. Nineteen characters with as many additional roles as desired.
