Scientific Method Task Cards

What a fabulous way to practice, preview, or review the Scientific Method! The versatility of task cards makes them a perfect addition to your classroom!

Ideas for Use:

There are so many uses for this great set, including Scoot (rotating stations), Scavenger Hunts, Centers, Early Finishers, Sub Days, Test Preview or Review, Morning work, Games, Bulletin boards, Homework, and Assessments. Use task cards with individuals, partners, small groups, and whole-group. Cards can be used with your document camera and projector.

What is included?

• Vocabulary Identification Cards- These are numbered 1-12 and have backgrounds of red houndstooth. The cards have multiple choice answers. The student will identify common scientific method vocabulary in given meanings or situations.
• Application Cards- These are numbered 13-20 and have backgrounds of navy hexagons. The students will read a scenario of an experiment or event and determine variables or usage of other vocabulary.
• Extension Cards- These are numbered 21-28 and have backgrounds of aqua stripes. The students will be drawing data tables, graphs, or writing about given experiments.
• Students answer sheets -These are provided in two sizes.
• An answer key is provided for cards 1-20. Sample student answers are provided for the extension cards, except for numbers 25 and 26 due to the task. Of course, your answers on the extension cards may vary.
• An ink-saving set of cards is provided without color for your convenience.
