Science Vocabulary Word Wall Cards Bundle - 3rd, 4th, 5th Grades

This huge bundle includes science word wall cards for eight different topics… that’s over 220 science vocabulary words with images, definitions, and oftentimes examples that are visually appealing and easy for your students to understand.

Word walls help to foster independent learning and thinking in the classroom. The word wall cards in this bundle present enough information on each card to help your students be successful when completing independent and / or group science activities, and they will help your students to build their science vocabulary acquisition skills.

Each card has an illustrated example with a definition, and in some cases more than one word and definition are presented on a single card. Many cards have additional information, and important vocabulary associated with each definition is highlighted in red or blue. This is intended to reinforce the concept that science vocabulary words are not used in isolation and helps students connect information across concepts, providing them extra exposure to relevant vocabulary.

The cards are organized in alphabetical order per my own personal preference. If you don’t need all of the cards, simply print the ones you want. Another printing alternative would be to print either two or four to a page for paper and ink saving purposes. Smaller cards work well in science centers and for small group work. (I suggest printing on cardstock and laminating for durability.)
