Description

This science SmartBoard Lesson is designed to use as a teaching tool to help guide your instruction as you teach about water, land, and air pollution. When I teach this lesson, I divide the class into three groups and assign each group a type of pollution. I give every student a copy of the graphic organizer on slide 3 to complete. Once the groups are finished as a class we fill out the one on the SmartBoard in order to teach everyone the causes, effects, and ways to prevent each type of pollution. There are 5 slides in this lesson and included on slide 4 is a link to an internet game where students have to spot the pollutant. It is geared for 3rd graders and meets the Georgia Performance (GPS) standards for science.
