This was very challenging for my students who are struggling in math. The rest of the students loved it as it was different.
My physics students found this to be a relaxing activity because they had met much more difficult problems prior to this and found it quite easy.
Description
This is a worksheet that help students with calculating Net Force
TEK 8.6: Demonstrate and calculate how unbalanced forces change the speed or direction of an object's motion
Starting at the tree, the students must know how to calculate net forces and then be able to tell in which direction the force is moving. They will follow the arrow with the correct answer to the next problem, The students can color in the arrows and apples as they complete the worksheet or simply draw a line that follows the correct path. They will continue this until they reach Isaac, where the secrets of the universe will be revealed to them or he will just offer you an apple.
Optional:
For any apple not used you can have the students answer them on the back of the worksheet for bonus points to be used at your leisure. (Missing assignments, test, projects or other types of assessments)
Not all of the apples are used (or are they) in the maze to prevent students from just guessing the route.
An answer key is included to help with grading.
A preview is available so that you can see what the worksheet looks like to make sure it is a product you would like to use and enjoy.
