Science GED Review Questions
Preview
Presented are GED-type questions covering the following areas: reading a map to discover facts about global warming, gleaning information from a chart to determine Enzyme Activity vs. Sugar Supply, interpreting data shown in a graph, using ordered combinations and permutation to interpret lab safety techniques, and interpreting the data from an experiment that depicts the light absorbance behavior of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) and single-stranded DNA (dsDNA) in solution.
After each scenario, an Answer Rationale not only provides an answer but explains why the indicated answer is correct and why the incorrect response choices are wrong.
Students are also asked to read a scientific text, after which they must respond to a writing prompt, design a possible experiment to test a hypothesis, and create an essay answer. There are two of these. Each is followed by answer samples that show 3, 2, and 1-point answers. These are further annotated to explain why some answers are rewarded with higher points and others are not.
Seventeen pages full of brain stretchers to prepare for the science portion of the GED.
