Description

For School Nurse Appreciation Day, make a printable gift or card for your school nurse using the writing templates. The first page can be the poem. The rest of the book can be pages where your students have each shared a memory of your school nurse. Newspaper template, too!

❤️ 1) Give the Nurse Appreciation Day Poem only, with 3 versions to choose from: color clipart, blackline clipart, or plain so students can sign it or illustrate.

❤️ 2) Let students choose one of the 3 templates provided to create their own page of a booklet. Then simply staple them together.

❤️ 3) Publish each student's entry as a newspaper using the templates provided. Pass around for each student to illustrate their entry. Send home with students to share with families.

✅ I have included 3 writing prompt worksheets you can use for Nurse Appreciation Day.

✅ One version of each has plain lines, and one version of each prompt has skip count baselines.

• I remember when you….

• Thank you for…

• You are the best nurse because…

✅ I also wrote a School Nurse Poem that your class can give to your nurse. There are 3 versions. One has color illustrations. One has black and white illustrations. One has no illustrations so you can ask students to sign it or illustrate it themselves.

✅ Use can also use this student newspaper template for any writing activity year after year.

After your students use the worksheet to write, type your students’ entries into the text boxes on the Nurse Appreciation News template. Print them out, and pass them around for each student to illustrate his or her entry with black pen. Make copies for your students and staple together.

❤️ Give the colored version to your school nurse to show your students’ appreciation. Staple student’s original writing to the packet if you’d like. We go to the nurse’s office as a class and sing “You Are My Sunshine” as we present her with the packet. You could also invite your nurse to your classroom.
