School Morning News Program - 5 Day PowerPoint Production and Scripts

If you produce or direct a School Morning News program or need “animated” PowerPoint slides that can run through the monitors of your school during the day, this is the product for you. This packet includes over 100 very attractive, fully animated PowerPoint slides that can be used as a Morning Show “lead in” and also as accompanying informational slides while the production is taking place. It also includes 6 different Anchor scripts that can be used for each day of the week with a bonus one for a guest anchor. This school morning news program product will save you a huge amount of time and effort!!!

As the producer and director of a very successful morning news production (at an elementary school just outside of Atlanta), I created several slide productions and scripts that complimented our show. Our show was featured on many local news broadcasts in and around the Atlanta area and we even had some guest anchors come in and do our show from CNN!!!

The PowerPoint Presentations and Anchor Scripts were set using a “5 Day System” with different “slide themes” and “anchor scripts” for each day – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and a bonus presentation for when we had “adult guests” come in and do the news. We used different teams of student anchors, camera operators and directors for each day of the week (i.e. a Monday group came in and took turns doing all of the jobs only on Monday; a different group came in on Tuesday and so on). The scripts in this product match the sequence of the PowerPoint slides.

The slides are “loaded” and ready to go….all you would need to do is edit your school name, motto, student anchors’ names, perhaps change a few of the images and text to fit your school’s mascot and you would be “in business”!!! The slides are complete with some “very cool” animations and transitions. .The scripts are in Microsoft Word form and are set for a 4 anchor system, using 2 cameras, however, it would be easy to edit it down to a 2 anchor system (the guest script already uses a 2 anchor system). You can laminate the scripts and the students can use washable markers to fill in the blanks to save paper.

The PowerPoint slides include “lead in” slides that have a lot of movement in them. During the production itself, you can use the lead in and background slides for the pledge, lunch menu, moment of quiet reflection, weather forecast, joke of the day, state of the school address, character education word of the week, our school motto, and for much, much more!!!
