Description

Saturn is the "all-time student favorite" as far as planets go. You students will absolutely love learning about Saturn as they learn to research and take notes in preparation for writing an essay. Each year I participate in the "Scientist for a Day" 500 word essay contest put on by the Cassini Science Team at:
http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/education/scientistforaday11thedition/
during the fall each year.

The contest is for 5th-12th graders and is a wonderful experience. I use this power point as an introduction to the Saturn System. For my 5th graders, it is the largest project they have ever encountered in the classroom.

This PowerPoint includes information, pictures, and video clips of Saturn & the ring system.
