Description

This is a lit log for Sara Lost and Found by Virginia Castleman. It is a great book. The themes of the book are: survival, foster care, getting adopted, being separated from parents and siblings, sisters, defining family, friends, and mental illness/emotional problems.
This lit log can be used for: (1) a novel study, literature circle, or guided reading, (2) a read aloud, or (3) children and caregivers in foster care, adopted families or residential facilities. The focus skills of this lit log are: using the text to answer questions (making inferences, making personal responses, and making predictions) and describing characters (their feelings, actions, and motives).
