Brief Notes on Sample Space and Counting Principle Notes

These notes are focused on helping students develop sample spaces using terminology and set notation at a high school level. The lesson also includes notes to counting principle at a quick pace. Because of the quick short pace of these notes, I often guide students on a few problems on the worksheet following the notes to ensure the students have the right idea.

I teach students with brief notes that allot more time in class for students to practice material. I give an assignment on the material so students can use the majority of class time experiencing and mastering problems on their own.

My students are behind in math skills and have time and time again flunked out of math classes or have been expelled. I aim to use short concise notes to get students back on track and build up their math skills. I generally use Kuta Software Worksheets to supplement my notes. This assignment I have students do both perimeter and area to have them practice both skills.
