Salt in His Shoes is a timeless book about the importance of determination, hard work, perseverance, practice, setting goals, and team work. Your students will love learning about Michael Jordan, and how he found success both on and off the basketball court. The reading & writing materials included are perfect for before, during and after reading the story.

Your students will also LOVE the STEM follow-up activity - Design Your Own Sneaker. Planning pages, checklists and a student handout for background are included for this activity. Also, lots of options for your bulletin board displays as well!

Salt in His Shoes is a biography about Michael Jordan written by Delores and Roslyn Jordan. The book is not included... you can use an online version or the book to start off your lesson.
