Need to cover background information about The Salem Witch Trials? Salem Witch Trials Video from History Channel - In Search of History is the perfect video to accomplish this goal!

This video is approximately 50 minutes, and it reveals fascinating details about the Salem witch trials. This lesson packet contains a 20 question video viewing guide to keep students focused while watching the video.

It also contains an activity to do after the video to assess students' understanding of the trials. The activity is informational text about the Salem trials, but some of the information is opinion or incorrect altogether. Students must use their knowledge to determine which parts are true, false, and opinion. They must tell what is untrue about the items they labeled false.

Answer keys for both of these sheets is included.
