Description

This is a HIGHLY engaging activity that helps to instill the basic logic skills required for critical thinking and to later learn the computer science of coding, easily adapted for all grades K-12.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ACTIVITY IS NOT DONE ON THE COMPUTER.

This is an introductory activity to set the foundation for learning the thought process behind coding by having children write (or say, for the youngest) a set of instructions to accomplish a fun and funny task--NOT a lesson in actually writing in a specific established code language.

It is designed to be carried out in the classroom, but also can be done almost anywhere, with only small modifications. Nothing other than paper, pencils/crayons/or markers, and students who love a fun learning experience is required.

In fact, once you read through it and get the gist, there’s really no need to even print most of the pages unless you wish to do so.

Hopefully this activity will help them develop those logic skills and to take their first “step” towards extremely lucrative and highly sought after careers.

Fair warning: Like many of my activities, this gets loud, but they love it!
