    Description

Included in this product are a total of 92 task cards:

26 nonfiction terms task cards, 31 fiction terms task cards, and 35 poetry and drama terms task cards. These cards are to be used to review the literary terms associated with the genre. Each task card asks students to identify the word associated with the definition. This product is a bundle of three of my other literary terms cards. If you have purchased any of these, you will be duplicating your purchase.

Words included are: fiction, protagonist, antagonist, round character, flat character, character traits, character motivation, conflict, character vs. character, character vs. nature, character vs. society, internal conflict, character vs. self, plot, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution, point of view, 1st person, 3rd person limited, 3rd person omniscient, 2nd person, tone, mood, theme, foreshadowing, flashback, symbolism, nonfiction, main idea, details, summary, author’s purpose, author’s viewpoint, author’s claim, author’s style, formal language, informal language, inference, cause and effect, compare and contrast, problem and solution, chronological order, sequence, synthesize, draw conclusions, paraphrase, compare, contrast, cause, effect, fact, opinion, common place assertion, sequence, line stanza, end rhyme, internal rhyme, rhyme scheme, repetition, poet, speaker, figurative language, simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole, alliteration, onomatopoeia, imagery, narrative poetry, lyric poetry, free verse poetry, drama, playwright, narrator, dialogue monologue, soliloquies, stage directions, prologue, epilogue, props, tragedy, and comedy.

These work great in centers or station activities or as extra practice for early finishers or tutoring. They also work great as a test review.

Also included is an answer sheet and answer key.

    Helpful how tos:

Print this out in color if possible. It was designed to be printed in color, however, it will look fine in gray scale.

Laminate the cards. If your students love this activity as much as mine, you will be using this quite frequently.

These task cards are designed to accompany my STAAR literary terms review sheet. STAAR Literary Terms Review Sheet
