ST. PATRICK'S DAY Leprechaun Song Adapted Book - Leprechaun Trap Worksheet

Hey educators!

Thanks for checking out my I'm A Little Leprechaun Song Adapted Book! Students will enjoy reading or singing the cute St.Patrick's Day song that follows the same tune as the nursery rhyme classic, I'm A Little Teapot. This activity would be perfect for March, St.Patricks Day or as a fun literacy or music activity! You can read this nursery rhyme book as a class lesson, during circle time, 1:1 to assess reading, or have it as an independent activity!

Follow up the adapted book with the Leprechaun Trap Worksheet which is modified for special education! There are 2 levels; with prompts and without prompts, so every student in your class can participate! Students will be asked to draw a leprechaun trap and describe the materials used. Take this one step further and actually create the trap using simple materials!

EASY PREP

1. Print the adapted book and worksheet
2. Cut out the adapted book pages & PECs
3. Laminate each sheet and the PECs so you can reuse it year after year & student after student! 
4. Cut around the laminated pieces
5. Add hard velcro on the back of the PECs & soft velcro on the squares of the book.
6. Bind together with coils OR hole punch for duotang/binder.

HOW TO USE: ADAPTED BOOK

• Student will read the sentences OR they can listen to the song & follow along!
• Student will remove the PEC from the right side, to match under each picture. Repeat!

HOW TO USE: LEPRECHAUN TRAP WORKSHEET

This resource comes with 2 worksheet options so it is modified for students at different levels

• Option 1: Students will design and build their own leprechaun traps! This version has material prompts that they can checkmark and a space for them to draw their trap
• Option 2: This version has a space for them to draw their trap, section to write their materials and also write their plan of how the trap will work.
