SPANISH Reading Intervention
What educators are saying
Description
Do you have students who struggle with reading fluently in Spanish? If so, this is the resource for you!
I created this HUGE Spanish Reading Intervention (Intervención de Lectura) product because many of my second grade students lacked beginning decoding skills in Spanish. They struggled with blending syllables to form words. This lack of decoding skills hindered my students' ability to read for meaning. They were spending too much time and effort recalling letter/sound relationships instead of reading whole words in a fluent manner to comprehend the text.
This Spanish Reading Intervention product allows me to easily assess and address my students' individual needs! I am able to provide targeted reading practice/intervention to my students in a way that is NO PREP for me and super ENGAGING for them!
You can print out the entire pack, or just the sections that you need! I have included black and white versions of the section dividers.
Placing these pages in sheet protectors allows you to print one set of this entire pack and reuse it! This not only saves paper, it makes it fun and engaging for students, as they get to use dry erase markers! I have included ideas for how to implement activities using this pack with counters and Post-Its as well!
As Spanish is a syllabic language, this resource systematically addresses the formation of syllables, words, phrases, and then sentences.
This resource targets:
• Letter/Sound Identification (Assessment Observation Form Included!)
• Syllables
• Words with Visuals
• Words without Visuals
• High Frequency Words (including words with accents)
• Phrases and Sentences
Directions are provided in English and Spanish! You can provide Spanish reading intervention or have a paraprofessional or parent work on the activities in this pack with individual students or a couple of students at a time!
I really hope that this Spanish Reading Intervention product helps your students become confident, fluent readers!
Muchas Gracias!
