Description

This is a 1st Grade Science Lesson focusing on what makes up an environment which includes questions with touchable answers, lots of photos and graphics, as well as tons of informational text to support in gaining a better understanding of environments. This particular lesson features information on living and nonliving things including a definition with picture support and a chance for the children to try it on their own. There are critical thinking questions which require the children to talk and share with their peers. Children will look at environments to notice which things were made by people and which things are natural. There is an overview of various forms of environments and a chance for children to talk about what it means to save our environment. Lastly there is a main idea and details graphic organizer focusing on new vocabulary learned as well as a discussion as to how we can change things in our environment for the better.
