Description

SEL-LITE for Grades 6-8: A Comprehensive, Research-Based, 7-Minute Social Emotional Learning Curriculum and Assessments for Schools with LImited Time and rEsources!

Teaching social-emotional, interpersonal, and coping skills are more important now than ever before!  However, teachers do not have the time to teach lessons let alone create them!  In our search for SEL lessons for our school, we found that lessons were either too lengthy and complicated or too “fluffy” and not scientifically-based.  As a result, we developed our own SEL curriculum and continuously revised lessons based on teacher feedback.  In the end, we created a comprehensive and cohesive (i.e., skills build off of each other), yet simple and effective SEL package that includes a full year (two lessons per week) of 7 minute lessons and assessments for screening and progress monitoring - all aligned with CASEL's Five SEL standards.

This first, free bundle includes eight introductory SEL lessons that will help adolescents transition back to school after the pandemic. Teaching skills and behaviors such as resilience, optimism, gratitude, and learning to ask for help will help your students feel more confident and at-ease as they transition back to school.

Each bundle thereafter includes eight, 7-minute lessons per month, categorized according to CASEL's five SEL standards, for a total of 88 lessons and 11 total bundles that will be enough to last the entire school year! Screening and progress monitoring measures along with these bundles will be available on August 1, 2021.
