Description

Missing Addends Turkey Scoot! is a fast-paced, FUN activity where students will travel from desk to desk to solve problems. It is a great activity to get students up and moving, while still practicing on academic skills. You can use it for review, practice, or even an assessment. Give each student a task card and a recording sheet. Students will start at their own desks and answer the problem on their task card, writing the answer in the corresponding box on the record sheet. When students are finished, you will say, “Scoot!” and students will move onto the next desk. They will continue to answer problems and move about the room until they get back to their own desk. This version of Scoot! reinforces the skill of determining an unknown number relating 3 whole numbers. (Common Core standard 1.OA.8) There are 24 task cards, a recording sheet, and an answer key.
My recommendation would be to print the task cards, laminate and cut, so you are able to use them when needed for review or years to come.
