Updated for the 2024 SAT! Get ready for the math portion of the SAT math portion in 5 Weeks! If you want to give your students the gift of college entrance prep, here it is! In this resource you will find 5 practice sessions with 8 problems each. In each session, problems 1 – 4 are very similar to problems 5 – 8 so there can be collaborative practice first, then an individual timed trial. Answer keys are available on the table of contents and after each practice. Topics covered are: Systems, Quadratic Factoring and Solutions, Simplifying Radicals, Polynomials, Measures of Central Tendency, Slope, Distance, Inequalities, Parallel Lines and Transversals, Area of Circles and Triangles, Volume, Special Right Triangles, and Setting Up and Solving Equations.
Sample Lesson Plan: (Use as a Bell Ringer)
Week 1: Practice 1 Session
Day 1: Do problems 1 & 2 collaboratively. Check answers together.
Day 2: Do problems 3 & 4 collaboratively. Check answers together.
Day 3: Do problems 5-8 independently and timed. Trade and grade.
Continue with the other 4 sessions using the same format for the next 4 weeks.
