What educators are saying

My class loved receiving daily updates at arrival each morning! I paired this with a dummy security dome camera with a blinking red light. Very cute and fun alternative to an elf on the shelf!

Description

The Noise Level Monitor is one of my most popular resources because it is such a fun and useful tool. I decided to create a fun, Christmas themed version to ensure students stay on the nice list this season.

I am passionate about using my projector in new and innovative ways to make my life easier. When I have a problem, I always go to my board for a solution. I am tried of shushing my kiddos. They can't tell when I am getting mad about it until I am ready to blow a gasket! I have made this monitoring system for them to have a visual of efficient their noise level is. The idea is that the board holds the power. Why? They are really motivated to impress the board. Plus, this takes all the stress off me. It is not my job to shush them. The board does it!

Put this PowerPoint on in "slide show" and a blinking light shows the class that the Santa Cam is on. Click forward or back to create a visual for your students to monitor their behavior. Small remote clickers are perfect for this! If you don't have one, you can also use a wireless mouse or keyboard. I like to keep my presentation clicker in my pocket and press buttons discretely. If the kids get too noisy, one push of a button causes the "Naughty-or-Nice-O-Meter" to go up and a noise to redirect the class. If they get their noise back at an acceptable level, I click the back button to go to previous slides. This makes the dial go back to a happier place. When you are finished, click the stop sign and the board will give the class an "elf approval rating", either praising their accomplishment or directing them to work harder next time.

This has been a wonderful motivator for my students. I hope your class enjoys it as well. Thanks for checking out my store!
