Rubrics for Social and Personal Skills: Early Learner Edition

These rubrics are designed for preschool students who are three or four years old.

• The rubrics support Early Learning Development Standards and Developmentally Appropriate Practices.

• School Behaviors are included with the Social/ Personal Goals.

• These two areas are interconnected and tend to have impact on each other.

• “I Can Standards” are provided if you decide to use the rubrics for Work Samples.

• This resource also contains objectives that can be used when writing objectives for Individual Education Plans or 504 Plans for preschool students.

Note: Revise and/ or adapt the objectives to meet your state’s requirements and your students’ special learning needs. Make sure that the objective is clearly defined and measureable. Make it easy to collect data, for example write goals for 80% or four out of five days per week. Provide students with opportunities to be successful.
