Description
This activity packet can be used for guidance lessons, small group, read aloud activities, literature circles, sub work and more!
Rosie Revere Engineer by: Andrea Beaty is an awesome story about a little girl who dreams of becoming an engineer! She creates inventions for her relatives and learns important life lessons along the way. Her Great-Great Aunt Rose (Rosie the Riveter) helps Rosie adopt a growth mindset and is instrumental in helping Rosie grow as a person and as an engineer!
Rosie learns to appreciate the creative process and does not become discouraged with the idea of "flopping" or failing.
One of the many wonderful lines in the book reads, "Life might have its failures, but this was not it. The only true failure can come if you quit!"
Growth mindset is such a valuable lesson to instill in ourselves as well as in our students. :)
