Description
This is a nice and easy High Holidays project that you can send home with your students to encourage self-reflection and a deeper experience of the Days of Awe.
This craft has it all! Folding, coloring, information, and prompts for self-reflection during the High Holy Days.
The front of this craft features the text:
"shavua tov (in Hebrew)
a good year"
With doodles representing various symbols of the High Holidays: apples and honey, a pomegranate, a round challah, and a shofar.
The back of this craft features text discussing the High Holy Days in very general terms, written with children in mind.
The inside of this craft features features a ten-step tracker to use during the Days of Awe, from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur. Each day features an idea or a prompt for children to engage in during the Days of Awe.
***New for 2019: I've created an optional matching, double-sided reflection page that gives children space to record their responses to the prompts.
I've included two versions of this craft for your convenience: one is oriented for printing double-sided along the LONG edge of the page, and the other is for printing double-sided along the SHORT edge of the page. Both versions are designed to be printed on regular letter-sized (8.5" x 11") paper.
