  • Book Targets "At a Glance" Outline:
    • list of the language skills you can target with just the book itself
    • target speech sound word list, organized by phoneme, of words that occur throughout the story

  • Lesson Plans: Save yourself hours sifting through blogs, TPT, social media, etc... to get enough therapy ideas for your weekly theme. 5 pages of activities are listed in this download for all kinds of preschool goals, making planning simple!

  • Story character + prop printables for the story: Use the story props to act out Room on the Broom as you read, to recreate the story. Use them for play activities afterwards, too!

  • Thematic Vocabulary:
    • Story Vocabulary: Color + B/W smash mats/coloring mats
    • Room on the Broom Bingo

  • WH Question Mats: 15 "What" questions, 15 "Who" questions, 6 "Where" questions. Leave whole for no prep or cut apart for sensory bins. 2 visual choices for each answer are included on each card.

  • Basic Concepts:
    • Dough Mats: 8 mats. Target concepts "big" "small" "tall" "long" and "short" using objects, characters, and places from the book. Great for pushing in to the classroom during fine motor times and math groups!

    • Spatial Concepts: Fill the shelves of the witch’s kitchen! Use the included pieces to give instructions about where to place things around the kitchen scene. Use spatial and size concepts like “top” shelf, “bottom” shelf, “long” shelf, “short” shelf, etc…

  • Category Sorting: Potion Brewing; Find ingredients for each potion (9 in all) by identifying items by categories that are needed for each potion. Add them to the cauldron and cast a spell with the magic wand!

  • Object Function Smash Mat

  • Science Experiment: Bubbling Witch's Brew
    • Visual recipe steps
    • Sequencing pictures for retell
