Description

ROMEO & JUIET STATIONS: These stations or centers focus on character and theme development in Romeo and Juliet and help your students become more independent in their analysis and critical thinking.

Use these ROMEO & JUIET STATIONS after each act. They provide an opportunity for your students to take notes on important developments in character and theme. Then, when you have finished the play, there are stations that allow them to take a final look at character and theme.

By the end of your study of Romeo and Juliet, students should have focused and detailed notes that they can use for whatever assessments you plan to do - and they will have learned to be more independent as well.

While at the ROMEO & JUIET STATIONS, students can work independently or as a group - that will be your choice. I have also included an editable rubric and checklist that you can use to assess students' participation in the process. You are not expected to read and grade their work as these stations are designed to make them accountable for their learning.

All titles and task cards are available in color and black and white, and there are editable task cards so you can add tasks if you like.

I have also included task sheets that students can use to focus their work. There is no answer key or rubric, as this activity is meant to be used for students to organize their own thoughts and notes for the novel and to use for their assessments.
