Roman Names Lesson

Activities to introduce students to Roman naming practices.

Includes:

- Student notes worksheet with teacher key

- Name/Family challenge: Using what students know about names, they must re-assemble a family tree given only the members’ names

- Trajan’s name: Students analyze Trajan’s full name, including honorific titles

- Biography project with rubric: Students create their own Roman and make-up a biography for them

- Quiz with answer key

The notes worksheet is designed to go along with the reading in Ecce Romani 1A (pg 84) but can be used with any text.
