Description
Want an easy, low-prep center for your elementary music classroom? Your students will have a blast playing this rhythm reading dice game. This BUNDLED resource comes with level one and level two! Each level has four different roll a rhythm pages and two dice composition pages. It reinforces quarter, half and eighth notes as well as quarter rest. Your students will be reading, playing, notating and composing before your very eyes! Such fun and an easy way to assess without their awareness.
The setup is easy: give each student a die, once they roll, they play the rhythm that matches the number on their die. They can play with body percussion, non-pitched instruments, Orff instruments, a note on recorder…sky’s the limit! There are two composition/notation pages for students to create their own four measure piece. Roll the die, notate the matching rhythm, practice and play your piece!
